Trafficking in Happiness
The Worthington family opened the doors of Worthington Flowers in 1950, servicing the area with the finest and freshest blooms. In 2021, a new family, Samantha and Isaiah, took the reins from this Capital District institution. The core values that made Worthington Flowers such a trusted florist remain intact, right down to the name. Samantha and Isiah retained the talented and experienced staff while adding great products to the showroom, ensuring continuity remains and innovation thrives. They know the value of community and are proud to continue the Worthington tradition for many years.
Samantha and Isiah had previously been long-time patrons of Worthington Flowers; Isaiah often ordered Samantha arrangements from the venerable shop and always appreciated the quality of their flowers and design work. When the pair saw that Worthington Flowers was up for sale, they knew that stepping behind the counter would be the next chapter in the adventure of their lives.
Samantha and Isaiah have always loved flowers and plants. Their space is filled with houseplants ranging from braided hibiscus to various orchids and cape primrose. Their yard features many flowering bushes and trees, including a peach tree that produces delicious mini-peaches, lilacs, and rhododendrons, including one over two stories high! Given this passion for plants and flowers, it's not surprising that Samantha and Isaiah feel at home in the floristry field.
At Worthington Flowers, Samantha and Isaiah take great pleasure in bringing people joy in flower form each day. Nothing has been more rewarding for them and they're excited to traffic in happiness every day. Stop by and you'll see Isaiah working out front, Samantha overseeing operations, Sophie ready with a warm greeting, and Lola, the shop dog, tending to her furry affairs. We look forward to welcoming you into our floral family!
